Celebrating life after loss can sometimes be very difficult to get our head’s around. We find ourselves filled with emotion and often sink into the arrangements of the funeral service and pass over the fact that the life of a loved one is something to be celebrated. Indeed, thereafter we often look back and wish we’d had a more personal fitting tribute for our loved one focusing on the positive aspects of their lives, honouring the contribution they made to ours and reflecting on their personality, interests and achievements and giving them the send off they so truly deserved.
Therefore, when it comes to saying goodbye to you loved one, you can with the help of a funeral celebrant or funeral director incorporate a celebration of their life into the funeral, including special memories, ancedotes and stories that truly reflect the great impact your loved one had on your lives and the world. In addition you can incorporate poems, specific readings, prayers and their favourite songs, all capturing their spirit and personality beautifully. Furthermore, why not include their favourite colours in the flowers, or ask guests to include them in their outfits, create memory cards and unique stories.
In essence a Celebration of Life Ceremony is a touching way to honour your loved one, celebrating their life, their love and everything they added to your life. By making it unique you can create a unique, individual celebration that they truly do deserve.
